Cotes du Rhone Grande Reserve, Chateau Beauchene 2021
Chateau Beauchene is an elder statesman of the Southern Rhone Valley that has been in the winemaking game since the 15th century. These days, the owners’ daughter, Amandine Bernard, is running the show and keeping up the family’s tradition of making textbook Cotes du Rhone. A blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mouvedre is sourced from vines that range from 50 to 100 years. Notes of cherry, herbs and earth makes this wine an easy companion to everything from cheeseburgers to Chinese takeout.
